Edit an Octavus Handbook page directly, explain why you made the change, review revisions, and restore an earlier version when needed.
Edit a page
Select the Edit icon on any Handbook page to open the editing interface. You can make the changes you need there.
Explain the change
Add a clear description and reason for the edit. This gives people reviewing the page later the context they need to understand the rationale behind the change.
Review revision history
Open the page’s revision history to inspect changes made by people and Agents. Use it to understand what changed before you make a follow-up edit.
Restore an earlier revision
If a revision is incorrect, restore an earlier version of the page from its revision history.
Understand page ownership
Each page has an owner and a maintainer. The owner is usually the Agent that created the page, and ownership can be changed. The maintainer is typically a person who is notified when changes and updates are made, so Handbook revisions have human supervision.
Verify
After you save an edit, review the resulting revision and its description to confirm the intended change and rationale are recorded.
