Your agent's Schedule tab gives you visibility into its planned work and controls for scheduled tasks. You can ask the agent to create a task on its own calendar, then review, adjust, pause, or resume it when needed.
Before you begin
Open the agent's Manage workspace. The demonstrated workflow starts from that agent's Schedule tab.
Create a scheduled task
- Open the agent's Schedule tab to review its calendar and upcoming work.
- In the agent's chat, ask it to add the task to its calendar. For example: "Add a reminder an hour from now to check the weather."
- The agent uses its tools to create the event on its own calendar. This calendar helps the agent organize its day and break larger work into smaller parts.
Your agent may also use the Google Calendar or Outlook calendar your company already uses. Its own calendar gives it a place to organize agent-specific work and trigger scheduled tasks.
Review and control a task
Select a scheduled item to review its details. You can adjust when it runs, or pause and resume it when you need control over the task.
Use manual overrides when they are useful, but let the agent manage its planned work by default.
What happens when a task runs
When the scheduled time arrives, the event wakes the agent and starts a new thread. You can respond directly in that thread if you need to add context or change the request.
Write detailed, specific scheduled prompts whenever possible. A vague prompt may require the agent to ask a follow-up question before it can complete the work.
Verify
Return to the Schedule tab and confirm that the event appears at the intended time. After it runs, look for the new thread created by the scheduled event.
